Jupiter Squares Pluto 2023-05-17 (TSquare with Mars)

Jupiter will square Mars on May 17th of 2023 with the North Node (karma) conjunct Jupiter and Mars square both of them.  This will be followed by a powerful set of aspects on May 20th, anaretic planets including the Sun before it enters Gemini on the anniversary of Jeffrey Dahmer's birth (May 21st).

Mars aspects Pluto a number of times this year, and we discuss that elsewhere.  Mars and Pluto aspect on May 20th.  But this Jupiter square only happens once in 2023, with a similar version about three years away.

Mars, Pluto, and Violence

Mars and Pluto are the most violent of signs.  Pluto is considered by many, most, to be a "higher octave of Mars."  The two are fundamental sources of "energy," but few can channel such energy and violence and sometimes death tend to emerge.

Jupiter the Amplifier

Jupiter is an amplifier, and when it squares a planet, or two in this case, it amplifies whatever they are.  We cannot tell you precisely where this will lead, but between the recent SVB ("Silicon Valley Bank") failure at the time of this writing, problems in China, and Russia's war in Ukraine, enough instability exists that we are living in dangerous times.  This series of aspects on May 17th and May 20th tell us that the week, or weeks, preceding and following these aspects and patterns are particularly dangerous.

A war, financial crash, or both could emerge at this time.  To be clear, we do not think the SVB problems are sufficient, but mis-steps by others could cause a cascade.

The Biden Administration : Time for Someone Else

My guess is that Joe Biden will be a one term president for a stack of reasons.  The inflation and financial mis-management are but two of a number of serious problems with the Biden administration.  What will come with these aspects, war or crash or both, will cement that. (Maybe we will be gifted with something different.) But, exactly who will run is an open question on both sides.

Pluto Enters Aquarius March 23, 2023 (and Saturn Enters Pisces March 7, 2023 after Full Moon)

The short version : This is BIG!

Introduction

Saturn enters Pisces on March 7th and Pluto enters Aquarius on March 23rd. Saturn changes signs every two and a half years with some minor variation in the length of the time it spends in one sign. Pluto, however, spends about twenty years in a sign with much more variation in the duration.

That means that Pluto sign changes are BIG. The last one brought the Crash of 2008, bringing down the financial markets.

Pluto, Capricorn, and Aquarius

The last time Pluto changed signs, it entered Capricorn circa 2008. The crash of 2008 soon followed. Pluto, ruler of death and dying in general with especially death by assassination and death by poisoning, entered the sign of financial markets and corporations, and we soon had a crash that was arguably the worst since the 1980s and possibly since the crash of 1929. Pluto now (March 23, 2023) enters Aquarius, the sign of the multitudes, the sign of all of us in the most fundamental ways imaginable but especially our mass communications including television, radio, print, and, particularly, the Internet. Expect changes.

Notice in the version of the chart we have presented, filtered for the strongest possible aspect, Anaretic Mars (violence, war) is square Ceres (food, finances, sometimes supply chains). We have written about Anaretic planets before:

We note, also, that the ANGLES of the "Pluto enters Aquarius" chart (Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant, and IC) are ALSO ANARETIC! (as set in Plano) And, in this chart, besides the entry of Pluto into Aquarius, the most precise aspect is Mars Square Ceres, a disruption of supply chains (followed by financial markets responding) and possibly food safety concerns.

The Saturn Entry Presages the Pluto Entry

The Saturn entry into Pisces follows a Pisces Sun / Virgo Moon full moon by a few hours and is associated with other planets anaretic (ready for a sign change.) This sign change will be a harbinger of some major event, a tipping point, that could occur as early as March 5th or as late as March 11th. A powerful and dangerous new virus might be identified. An escalation in the war in Ukraine may occur with expansion into another nation or an unexpected intervention from China or North Korea. Something else may come to pass, a disaster similar to the Fukushima meltdown or the Deepwater Horizon disaster. We are not certain what, but we believe something profound is coming, a turning point or “wakeup call”.

Our best guess is that the event will occur March 6th or March 7th.

As bad as the event will be, it will be the harbinger of an even more serious series of events past the tipping point of March 23rd of 2023.

Beyond Pluto's Entry into Aquarius

Beyond Pluto's entry into Aquarius, we will see a series of events reminiscient in some ways to the events of Spring and Summer of 2010. But, in July of this year, Pluto will revisit Capricorn (and the financial markets) during its last retrograde into Capricorn that begins May 1st of 2023. Later, Pluto will turn direct on October 11th and then re-enter Aquarius. For almost this entire year, Pluto will be 'Anaretic,' in the final degree of a sign, an indicator that many astrologers call “fate.” (To read more about Pluto entering Aquarius, click here.) Said differently, most of the time, most of the events of 2023 will seem as if they were “fated,” with us unable to follow any other path. One might say that 2023 will “load the gun” but events in 2024 and the years following will “pull the trigger,” especially the entry of Uranus into Gemini in 2025.

Financial Markets and Saturn and Chiron and Pluto 2008

After a bit of thought, I’ve decided that I’m glad that not so many people read this blog. If you read “2008 June 26 Uranus Retrograde Chart set in DFW” then you know that I predicted a shakeup in September. If you are dialed into this at all, I’d hope you would re-read the above article in great detail. What I said, and continue to predict, is that this shakeup simply isn’t over. The activity in September / early October is just a punctuation mark on the way to the rest of the story. Saturn Inconjuncts Chiron on October 8th. Since Saturn has a 28 year orbit and Chiron a 56 year orbit, this doesn’t happen much. It happens even less than the Jupiter / Saturn dances that classically characterize financial “changes.”

Of course an activating aspect is needed. (Read my other writings about activating events (typically new or full moons).) Monday is Sun Square Jupiter, a time of often overly ambitious overspending. The Venus / Saturn / Chiron aspects of Tuesday and Wednesday October 7th and 8th will produce MORE revelations about the “structural soundness” of the world economy as well as the U.S. Economy. Don’t be surprised to receive interesting “news” on these days, either. By the Full Moon of October 14th, some of these truths will be unavoidable. Deceit will continue, but the liars and cheats will find it more difficult to perpetrate the fraud. So to speak, “Main Street” has had enough.

The key thing to remember, here, is that a huge unbridled bailout (Jupiter) is NOT the answer here. The answer requires intense work on the “fundamentals” of the economy and finance system. The time has arrived for a profound belt-tightening. I’ll say a little more about October, but the real key will be found “about” the time of Thanksgiving Day. Maybe the Wednesday before Thanksgiving will be the turning point, or maybe it will be Thanksgiving itself.

That said, other rough spots in October: Refuse to succumb to any temptation to be impetuous on October 14th. This is a “feel good” full moon day that will tempt many to act rashly. Don’t get sucked into THAT trap.

October 15th Mercury “goes direct” and this means on the 15th or following few days something “overdue” will be handled. The classic example for some of you is the arrival of an overdue check.

The Grand Trine of Thursday October 23rd will make that a very powerful MORNING (afternoon for Brits) to get things done. Energies “flip” in afternoon and this is a time to rest and maybe reconsider.

Chiron goes direct on October 25th. On or about that time we’ll get a crucial message about some kind of healing. This will definitely affect the financial markets, but also anyone with health problems. Frankly, I’m a bit worried about Social Security and Medicare.

By Monday the 27th, the new issue of “healing” causes tempers to flare in a profound way. Expect a battle royale. “Things” could be very nasty.

The Scorpionic New Moon of the 28th is difficult to interpret. The conflict of Monday can be read three ways: (1) it is dead & gone; (2) it has been swept under the rug and is festering; or (3) the firefight of Monday has gone totally covert. Guns are traded for poisons.

The dance of Mercury and Neptune on Wednesday indicate confusion and overextended idealism at best. At worst, they are about significant deception in a time when honesty is desperately needed.

The firefights of Thursday and Friday could be avoided if you find a safe athletic activity to participate in. But, covert operations may be at risk for exposure on these days.

This might be one really scary Halloween.

Neptune turns direct Saturday and Sunday. A planet of “happiness” often in the form of delusion or deceit, Neptune is also excellent at exposing secrets. This will particularly apply to those born in the late 1950’s and 1960’s. This is a good time to turn off the cell phone and hide with a good book or movie. Harry Potter would work well.

Tuesday, November 4th is election day. This one reminds me of the one in 2000 that was ENTIRELY in a moon void of course. (”nothing will come of this” or perverse outcomes) This one has Mars Square Neptune (Bill Clinton may be prominent this day for some unexplainable reason); Saturn in Opposition to Uranus (very, very financial); and (like 2000) the ENTIRE election is Moon v/c.

I predict an outcome similar to 2000, except dramatically more important. Frankly, this is going to be a terrible mess. And, in hindsight, we’ll all know that the outcome was crucial. (Why? because of the outer planet stuff in the prior paragraph, especially Saturn Opposite Uranus, a once every fourteen years event.)

I’m not sure what was going on politically about 14 to 15 years ago, but it holds important answers for this election. Even more so is whatever happened 28 to 30 years ago. To understand what will happen here, look to the election of 1976 and what happened then consequent to the times of the “Arab Oil Embargo.”

November has different events, but the kicker will be when Pluto re-enters Capricorn on Wednesday the 26th of November. This is the day before Thanksgiving. Pluto is highly “contractile” and so is Capricorn. Money will be tight, far tighter than it is at the time I write this (Oct 4th). This kind of “feeling” will continue through Christmas and the end of the year. The “Islamic New Year” on December 29th may be a turning point of some kind.
